Fertility Consultations & Evaluations

There are many paths to creating a family

I am a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) with training in infertility and reproductive counseling. I offer reproductive mental health services including intended parent consultations, third-party fertility psychological evaluations (psychological assessments) for donors and gestational carriers, therapy, as well as trainings and workshops for clinics, agencies, and providers.

Intended Parent Consultations

Intended parent consultations provide psychological support and guidance for individuals and couples preparing to build their family through assisted reproductive technology.

These consultations offer space to explore expectations, decision-making, communication, and the emotional and practical considerations that often arise throughout the family-building process. The focus is on helping intended parents approach next steps with clarity, preparedness, and a shared understanding of the responsibilities involved.

Specialized Psychological Assessments

I provide ASRM-aligned psychological evaluations for third-party reproduction, including:

  • Egg donor psychological evaluations
  • Sperm donor psychological evaluations
  • Gestational carrier (surrogate) psychological evaluations

Each assessment supports ethical participation, informed consent, and psychological readiness in assisted reproductive treatment.

These psychological evaluations are designed for:

  • Individuals serving as egg donors or sperm donors
  • Individuals serving as gestational carriers (surrogates)
  • Fertility clinics, reproductive endocrinologists, and agencies requiring ASRM-compliant psychological screening

Sensitive evaluations that support the fertility journey

Psychological assessment is a required and essential component of third-party assisted reproduction. In accordance with ASRM recommendations, evaluations help:
  • Assess emotional stability, coping skills, and stress tolerance
  • Identify psychosocial risk factors that may affect treatment, pregnancy, or postpartum adjustment
  • Support informed decision-making and realistic expectations
  • Protect the well-being of donors, carriers, intended parents, and future children
These evaluations are not pass/fail—they are designed to promote preparedness and ethical care.
My evaluation process integrates clinical psychology, reproductive mental health expertise, and ASRM best practices. Each assessment includes:
  • A comprehensive clinical interview
  • Review of personal, relational, reproductive, and psychosocial history
  • Evaluation of motivation, boundaries, expectations, and support systems
  • Consideration of cultural, relational, and identity-based factors
